SIMPSON STRIKES AT SAND HUTTON

The 6th round of the WRMXC summer series saw a busy weekend at Sand Hutton with over 200 riders. The track was in superb racing condition thanks to Chris Thompson.

The A class was a good one to watch when Michael Ogden recorded a superb 1-1-2 to the win the big cash prize, hot on his heels was Karl Shultz who recorded a 2-2-3 to come 2nd overall , in 3rd place was the ex amca rider Karl Myers who Was slightly under par and not used to the stiff competition who recorded a 5-3-5 .

Ross Armour won the closely fought B class equalling on points with Ben Williams, who both finished on 127 points but a win for Ross in the final race gave him the overall win with Maurice Crang taking 3rd.

The C1 Class, two wins and a second gave James Brown the overall win, with Steven Richardson in second and Dan Wainwright coming home third overall.

The C2 class was dominated by Shaun Fletcher with a 1-1-2 win followed closely by Lewis Stead who recorded a 2-2-1 and Rich Panter taking 3rd with 5-3-4.

The Hotly contested BW 85 class again did not disappoint, with a good battle at the top between Conor Smith, Eddie Remmer and Callum Wardman. Wardman took the overall win with a 4-2-2 on joint points with Connor Smith on count back. With Eddie taking 3rd.

The SW 85 class was again dominated by Aaron Hanson who recorded 3 from 3 and his first ever 1st Nathan Claughan recorded a 2-3-2 , Ben Knight came home 3rd despite an off in the last race.

Performance of the day went to young to Reece Simpson in the Junior 65’s who recorded his first overall win closely in 2nd was Danny clark and Connor Murfin came home 3rd.

James King recorded a 1-4-1 in the Auto race with Cameron Burke beating William Clare to 2nd place on joint points .
