Round 9 of the WRMXC Club Championship ended up at Dalton after a last minute venue change due to the weather, and what a good decision it was. The track was in superb condition. Thanks to John Smith and Mark Goldstraw at Dalton riders from all over the North and Central areas arrived to a dry track.
Cole Hunter dominated the A Class with three good wins from three for the overall win. Matty Colwill produce a great Consistent performance with three second places for second, with Thomas Swales taking third overall.
The B class went to Jake Hardcastle who recorded two wins and a second place for the overall win with Andrew Hornshaw claiming second spot and Maurice Crang third.
Louis Steads two firsts and a third gave him the overall win in the C class, with Zac Huberry taking second and Dan Wainwright taking third overall. Veteran Two Stroke rider Phil Jackson made a promising start with a second place in the first moto, but a rider error and a lack of concentration in the second saw him roll off on a slow corner which put paid to any top six finish on his return to Team Whiterose. Two weeks in a row now where he isn’t happy at what he see’s on the result sheets…
The Youth Open class saw Liam Piggford produce a good performance with two wins and a second for the overall win. Josh Bentley claimed second overall with James Walker taking third on the day.
The BW 85 class saw some great battles all day from front to back. At the front Jack Hills and Cal Wardman were awesome as they battled it out for top spot, with Jack producing a great three from three for the overall win. Cal Wardman’s three good second places gave him second overall, with Robert Ainley producing a good display for third overall.
The SW 85 also did not disappoint. Nathan Claughans two wins and a second gave him the overall win, with Declan Ryan riding well and taking second overall. A good solid performance from Regan Barraclough gave him third overall.
Sammy Price’s win and two second places gave him the overall victory in the 65 class just ahead of Danny Parsons and Aaron Stewart.
Kian Collingwood maintained his winning ways with three impressive victories in the Auto class. Lewis McLeary took second overall with three second places and Jack Grayshon’s three third places gave him third on the day.
The next WRMXC meeting is a two day event at the newly Revamped Grangemoor track near Wakefield. This is looking like it will be a busy meeting, so please ensure you book in early to secure your spot.
